Shifting into Turbo-tasking!

What is it about a trip out of town that makes all my multi-tasking worlds collide? It's Spring Break, time for a few days in the sun, but the way my head is spinning, you'd think we were going to a third world country for six months.

Why do all the little things that have been hanging around the bottom of the to-do list suddenly command my greatest attention? I haven't gotten around to sending that oh-so-special baby gift for the last four weeks. Why does it HAVE TO DONE before I leave town? Those new undies I've been promising to shop for? Do I REALLY HAVE TO have them before I hop on the plane? Oh, yes, and that deep cleaning, closet organizing...MUST it be completed before I walk out the door?

Is that my mother's voice I hear chiding from the corners of my multi-tasking brain? "What if there's an accident? Are you wearing a slip?" A slip? Who's she kidding???? And WHY am I listening to that after all these years? LOL

Well, back to that deep breathing again. No, it does not ALL have to be done before I go. Yes, I do have two pairs of pants to hem so my ever-growing son will have something to wear besides sweats and shorts. Yes, I do need to remember my eye drop prescription. And I probably DO need to order those special flowers for my mother-in-law's birthday which happens to be on the day we fly.

But everything else? Well, I'm pretty my multi-tasking life will be waiting when we hit the tarmac back at home. And until then, I'm taking my Spring Break for just what it was intended.... a little time off for fun, sun, and some life enhancing deep breaths! Want to tag along?
