Okay, I admit it. I'm in lockstep with all those of you out there who love Harry Potter. a main topic of conversation at my house for all the weeks leading up to the big release of the

last book in the series. Yes, my favorite co-reader and I attended the Deathly Hallows Ball (thank you, Borders!) both of us in full costume and in character. (You can guess which one is me!) And yes, I stayed up till 4 am reading the latest, greatest volume with my 11 year old. I'm not sure who was more excited to read the dramatic conclusion... or who was sorrier that this book was the 'end.'
What is it about this story that has captured my multi-tasking mind and heart? Could it be the attraction of a wand that 'chooses' its owner and helps achieve the seemingly impossible with a few well-chosen words and a flick of the wrist? Could it be the Time Turner that truly lets you be in two places at once and none the worse for wear? Or maybe it's that enchanted evening bag that holds everything but the kitchen sink? (You did notice that it was Hermione - the girl - who planned ahead with that little gem so that the three heroes had practically everything they needed on a moments notice?
Hmmmmm....a Multi-Tasking Woman in training without a doubt.)

We could all use some magic in our lives, couldn't we? Well, this summer, I'm trying to make a little magic of my own. I may not have a house elf, but I'm remembering to ask for help and not try to do EVERYTHING myself. I'm expanding my time by choosing lots of on-the-grill main dishes which are magically cooked by my husband and son. And, when all else fails, I'm magically rejuvenating myself by sneaking little cat naps and ice cold drinks and the apparating to another time and place via a good book or a summer movie.
Now, where did I put that wand?
