Wow! January 1oth already? The year has started off fast and is picking up speed. Before we get down that road too far, I've been trying to take some time to reflect on the Season just passed.
I think that, in many ways, this was my best Christmas ever! Why? Well, my piano filled the house with melodies of the season, of course. But the most important thing? I got to spend time with those near and dear (and close enough in reach.) What amazing things can happen with just a little prior planning.
None of us really had time to do a dinner party, so we made reservations at a neighborhood spot for great Italian food, bottles of good wine and lots of time to be together. It was a special evening where we all just showed up to be with each other. Christmas Eve? My house was filled with friends and family... just the way I like it most. And so it went through the New Year. Time to gather. Time to share. Connecting with the people most important to us.
It reminds me that, just like that fabulous new Kitchen Aid stand mixer or HDTV that showed up for you in Santa's bag, nothing really happens until we connect. Until we plug in to the source of our joy. Generate the positive energy of being with those we love and who love us back.
